This is a compelling complex story which is the beginning of the Millennium Trilogy. I had the audio version of the book with a delightful narrator which assisted in the experience during challenging periods. I enjoyed the suspense and intrigue which kept my attention until the end. Definitely felt like it stood on it's own and that completing the trilogy was not essential to get the whole story.
