I found this book enjoyable. It's a story within a story. The story is mainly told through letters from the characters to one another. The main character is a writer in search of a story which seems to develop unintentionally through a series of letters. She becomes interested in the people of Guernsey and their curious Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society. She soon finds herself writing to several people within the small town before acknowledging that this could be the story for which she was looking. She goes on an adventure of sorts to find out more about this society. The story ends on a positive note although I must admit it wasn't quite what I expected.
