This has always been a favorite story of mine along with the authors other novels. I found the information included in this version insightful providing researched information of the time period. As the years pass the story never loses its relevance regarding family and friendships. It has been said that writers should write about what they know so it is of no surprise the resemblance of the March sisters to the Alcotts. 

 

It’s a true testament of the importance of women in history to have existing books published by women. This time period was one of change due to the challenges many brave women were willing to take for the sake of justice. 

 

I enjoyed reading this annotated version of the classic novel, Little Women by Louisa May Alcott provided by Book Sirens. This is my voluntary unbiased review.
